Millicent Agatha Halley Rockaway Resident Millicent Halley, a short-time Rockaway resident, died October 4. She was 86. Halley was born in West Bank, Demerara on May 23, 1921. She was a member of the Anglican faith before being baptized in 1995. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Nathaniel Halley; sisters, Eloise Clestene Hermonstyne and Stella Stanford; grandchildren, Neil, Nedra and Delissa. Halley is survived by her children, Neville Whyte and Judith Huntley; son-in-law, John Huntley Sr.; daughter-in-law, Celeste Whyte; brothers, Leon and Compton Reid; grandchildren John Jr. and Julian Huntley, Deborah, Steve, Neville J., Nigel, Nolan, Newton and Nicole; nieces and nephews, Dennis and Joan Hermonstyne, Julian, Compton Jr., Terrance, Roxanne, Derrick, Winston, Neville, Gordon, June, Juliet, Jocelyn, Roland, and Shellon Reid, Barbara Stanford, Irma Scotland, Errol Stanford and Pam Ogle; 19 great-grandchildren; her adopted children Jennifer Kennedy, Joycelyn Joseph, Joyce Reid, May Alcindor, Carl Purdy, Marcy Stymiest, Terry Wallin and Reg Adair; the Bacchus, Issacs and Van-Cooten families; and many relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home.
Visitation and services were held at the Jeremiah C. Gaffney Friendship chapel.
Interment was held at Amityville Cemetery in Amityville, New
