"Oktoberfest"Honors Local Music Educators

100 Precinct Community Council President Daniel Ruscillo welcomes everyone to the breakfast event.
The 100 Precinct Community Council's 16th Annual "Oktoberfest" was held this week at the Bay View Restaurant in Broad Channel and celebrated the community efforts of local musicians, Michael and Sheila Finnegan.

Their music education efforts for the children of the Rockaway community were honored and celebrated.

The Peninsula Performing Arts Conservatory was founded by the couple and provides high-quality music education to children of the Rockaway Peninsula. Appropriately, the couple performed a song instead of making a speech.
Newly appointed 100 Precinct Captain Tom Barrett gets up to say a few words to everyone.
Councilman Joseph Addabbo made an appearance and congratulated the council members for all their community efforts.
The Community Council's honorees, Sheila and Michael Finnegan, accept their community service award from Danny Ruscillo.
Danny Ruscillo is joined by Julia Finnegan, 10, and Michael Finnegan, 7, to present a lucky raffle winner with their prize.
The Finnegan family, Sheila, Michael and children Julia and Michael, stand with their presented plaque.
