John Mastrota

John Mastrota, a 32 year Rockaway resident, died October 16.

Mastrota was born in Brooklyn. He worked with the American Sliding Co.

He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa Paola Mastrota; daughter, Dolores Broda; son-in-law Eugene Broda; and brother Charles Mastrota.

Mastrota is survived by his daughters, Joan Salerno (Joe), and Rosemary Giodano; sisters, Helen Antici and Mary Reid; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to The Denis O'Connor Funeral Home. Visitations will be held at O'Connor's on Friday, October 19, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. AFuneral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 20 at 9:30 a.m., at St. Thomas More Church. Interment will be at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
