Davis Miller was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina on December 29, 1937. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Far Rockaway. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Miller Sr. Davis-Miller is survived my her mother, Julia Hilliard; children, James Allen Davis II and Carmelita Davis- Mills; son-in-law, Lionel Mills; grandchildren, Denise, James Allen III, Destiny, Tiffany and Lanettie; sister, Clara Berry; Brothers, Abraham and James Hilliard; sisters-in-law, Gladys and Mary Julia Hilliard; brother-inlaw, Frank Berry; and many relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home with services held at the First Baptist Church. Interment was at Calverton National Cemetery, in Calverton, New York.
