for larger version       Mickey Abrams Mickey Abrams, a 50 year Rockaway resident, died October 14. Abrams was born in the Bronx. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was also a retired steamfitter with Local 638, a member of the Knights of Columbus and the V.F.W. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Donna Marie Murtagh. Abrams is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Murtagh Abrams, son, Michael Abrams, daughter Kathleen Burns, and one grandchild.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Camillus. Interment was at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York.
