Pheffer Announces Hearings On Traffic Congestion

Assemblywoman Audrey I. Pheffer has announced that the New York City Traffic Congestion Mitigation Commission will commence public hearings in all five boroughs. The hearings will allow for testimony, information and proposals regarding traffic congestion and solutions to the problem of congestion." These hearings are an important opportunity for New York City residents to voice their concerns or support regarding the traffic congestion and mitigation proposals," said Pheffer. For those interested in attending, local hearings will take place at the following locations:

York College Performing Art Center, Tues., Oct. 30, 2007, 6 p.m., 94-20 Guy R. Brewer Boulevard between Liberty and Archer Ave.

New York City Tech Klitgord Auditorium, Thurs., Nov. 1, 6 p.m., 285 Jay Street, Brooklyn.

Chapter 384 of the Laws of 2007 established the New York City Traffic Congestion Mitigation Commission, a 17-member body directed to undertake a review and study of plans to reduce traffic congestion and other related health and safety issues within the City of New York.
