Once known as Northwest Point and Westville, the present Inwood was once a part of Far Rockaway, solely owned by Colonel John Cornell, who tagged same as "Rock's Point." Inwood was separated from Far Rockaway by the Doughty Bill of 1901, and became a part of Nassau County. View number one is of the entrance to the Inwood Country Club in the year 1947. To anyone out there in Inwood Land, where was the entrance in that year? View number two is of the entrance to Inwood Park in about 1915 or so. But where was the entrance of Inwood Park, and how big was Inwood Park and who built it?
