High School Tennis Star Selects University of North Carolina
In four years at St. Francis Prep High School, Shinann Featherston (pictured above with United States Tennis Association Eastern Section Executive Director D.A. Abrams) has accomplished plenty as one of the best girls' tennis players in the city. The Rockaway Park native has committed to continue playing tennis at the University of North Carolina in the fall of 2008. Featherston has won three consecutive Mayor's Cup individual championships, helped St. Francis maintain their 128 game winning streak, and is currently ranked second in the USTA Under-18 Eastern Junior Standings.
