Brentwood Defeats Midget Shamrocks

The battle of the unbeaten Midget football teams took on one another Saturday night but Brentwood came out on top, defeating the Broad Channel Athletic Shamrocks, 18-0.

In a well-played game, the Midget Shamrocks defense came out strong and the offense got off to a good start but eventually, penalties and fumbles would keep them down.

Only three plays hurt the Shamrocks. The Brentwood offense scored on two double reverse touchdowns and a punt return score. BCAC's best play of the night was when QB Luke Schreiner hit Wide Receiver Charlie Gavigan for a nice 40-yard pass right as the half ended. The Shamrocks played their hearts out and that is all the coaches could ask of them. The midget team will play North Babylon on Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. Thanks to all the fans for rooting on the team.
