LAOH Wins New York State

Pictured left to right, Lauren Towey of LAOH Junior Division; Virginia Minardi, VP/Junior Division Coordinator; and Maureen Logar, Mistress-At-Arms for Division 25.
The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians (LAOH) Division 25 (Breezy Point and Rockaway), junior division, was honored and placed third in New York State at a convention in Albany. The girls, ages 6-18, worked on a 40-page scrapbook about their services: Irish culture and learning in unity, friendship and Christian charity.

Meetings are held at The Activity Center in Breezy Point on the first Tuesday of every month. Any young ladies wishing to join in learning about Irish history, Irish music, and other aspects of Irish culture are encouraged to join.

On Friday, October 5 at 7:30 p.m., the LAOH will sponsor a "Family Ceili." It will be a night of celebrating Irish music and dance.

Adults pay $10 at the door and children pay $5.
