Janet Neibel, a Rockaway resident for 41 years, died September 21.

Neibel, a homemaker, was born in Brooklyn. She was an active participant in many senior clubs and church organizations throughout Rockaway. She also served as a past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Mayors Committee in Roxbury.

Neibel is survived by her husband, J. Eugene Neibel Jr.; son, Scott; daughter, Donna Marano; brother, Alexander Hesse; grandchildren, Danny, Diana, Zachary, Sam and Isabella.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. A service was held at St. Genevieve Church. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens.
