Calvin McMillian, a longtime Rockaway resident, died August 28.

McMillian was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on August 3, 1945.

He was preceded in death by his father, Farley McMillian and brothers, Farley Jr. and James McMillian.

McMillian is survived by two stepsisters, Thelma of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Betty of Baltimore, Maryland; and other family members and friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home. Visitation and services were held at New Life Homes in Brooklyn. Disposition by Oxford Hills Crematory.
