Queens Hospital Offers Mammographies To F.R.Residents
With next month designated as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, representatives of Healthfirst, the American Cancer Society and Queens Hospital got a head start as they dispensed information on the disease at a table in front of the Far Rockaway Library on Friday, September 21.
Queens Hospital's "mammography mobile" was also onsite to provide free mammographies to anyone who was interested. As of a hour-hour before they were scheduled to leave, Frantzy Carron of the American Cancer Society said no one had taken advantage of the mobile. Photos by Miriam Rosenberg
