Andre Anderson Remembered By Family,Friends
By Miriam Rosenberg

Family and friends gather at the second annual memorial service to remember Andre Anderson who was hit by a SUV on September 24, 2005.
As butterflies and bees flew around a flowerbed planted in his memory, family and friends gathered at Shore Front Parkway and Beach 77 Street to remember Andre Anderson, who died after being hit by a SUV there in 2005.

At Sunday's memorial, which was held almost two years to the date the 14-year-old lost his life as he was riding his bicycle, Andre was remembered as a "kind, loving, caring boy who was helpful to everyone."
A group of cyclists adorn with flowers the white bike they installed last year as a memorial to Andre, on the median at Shore Front Parkway and Beach 77 Street.
Through her tears, Tameka Swaby sings a song in memory of her cousin Andre.
Everyone joins hands in prayer as they gather around a flowerbed that has been planted in memory of Andre.
Tameka Swaby, Lilieth Whitney (Andre's Aunt), Michelle Griffith, Monique Swaby, and a family friend listen as Audrey Anderson thanks everyone for coming to the memorial service. "My heart is so proud you all came," said Anderson.
After two years, the pain still shows as Monique Swaby, left, another cousin of Andre's, fights to hold back her emotions. Also pictured is Andre's mother, Audrey.
