Man Says Teens Are Destroying His Home
Broad Channel homeowner Fred Thomson says some of the teenagers who hang out around 9 Road on Cross Bay Boulevard - a "hot spot" that has a park on the east side and several stores and businesses on the west side - have damaged his home's siding and fence (both shown here) and use the side of his home, adjacent to the Gene Gray Playground, for underage drinking and other unsavory activity. "Sometimes you get 15 kids out here," he told The Wave. He's calling for increased police patrols in the area, and the NYPD is said to be monitoring the situation.
