Boris Martynuk
Teacher

Boris Martynuk, a Rockaway resident, died September 18.

Martynuk was born in New York. He first visited Rockaway in 1968, and fell in love with it. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. Martynuk worked as an elementary school teacher at P.S. 151, in Bushwick, Brooklyn. He was also a member of the Senior Center at 90-01 Rockaway Beach Boulevard.

Martynuk was preceded in death by his parents, Melania and Diomid.

Martynuk is survived by his sister Dunia; sons, Alex and Diomid; and exwife Simone.

Funeral arrangements and visitation were entrusted to the O'Shea Funeral Home. AFuneral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, in East Meadow, Long Island. Interment was at St. Tikhon's Cemetery in S. Cannan, Pennsylvania.
