Catherine Banaghan, a Rockaway resident for 10 years, died September 18.

Banaghan, a homemaker, was born in County Mayo, Ireland.

Banaghan was preceded in death by her husband, William and her daughter, Mary Kenney.

Banaghan is survived by her sons, James and John; daughter, Mary; brother, Thomas; grandchildren, John, William and Kevin; and great-grandchildren, Dustin and Hallie.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home, with visitation to be held at Queen of Peace Residence in Queens Village on Sunday, September 23 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Queen of Peace on Monday, September 24 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens.
