Water Taxi or Ferry
Dear Editor,

When are we all going to get together and demand in unison a water transportation service between Beach 116 Street, Rockaway Park (behind Duane Reade) and 34 Street, Manhattan? All of us who need to go to Manhattan have to suffer at least 1.5 hours on either the A-train or the Q53, whereas we could fly across in 20 minutes to 34 Street and FDR Drive in Manhattan. One could also continue with the cross town bus all the way to the West Side Highway if one wanted to.

All of the vendors on 34 Street should rejoice in this as well. There are so many commuters on Beach 116 Street that would benefit from this service. This service makes the most sense as it is the shortest distance. So why aren't we "the public" heard? Why do we have to suffer? We would even accept daily service of three runs in the morning and three runs in the evenings to test it out.

We would gladly pay up to five dollars each way and we would gladly give credit card numbers to book ahead of time. So why are we still deprived of fast transportation? We have been asking for many years... hopefully, this service will become available immediately. The commuters from the Beach 116 Street bus stop are giving thanks in advance!!!
