Mazel tov to Sammy and Bella Sinensky on the marriages of their children; son Michael married Irina over the summer, daughter Elana married Adam this month. Eric Weitzman (son of Benay and Ronnie) married Bari last weekend. Best wishes to Maris Ruggiero (proud parents are Vinny and Kathy) on her engagement.

Hedy and Jack Abel now have two grandchildren! Daughter Deena and Yossi had a son, Natan; and Son Avi and Rachel had a daughter, Orly. Congratulations to Linda and Jim Kelly who had a 9 pound 10 ounce baby girl, Renee, joining brothers Michael and William. Proud grandparents are my wonderful neighbors, Jim and Linda Kelly.

Maryann Cavallo retired from Kingsboro College - and went right back to working part-time teaching at the college!

Happy 25 anniversary to Lisa and John Nies.

Happy birthday to Andrea Parness, Helene Greenberg, Ann Roness and Hilary Lander. Happy 18th birthday to Leah Shapiro and Emily Katz.

Congratulations to the Belle Harbor Yacht Club's "Swing for the Cure" tennis tournament (aiding breast cancer research) - which was a huge success!

1st Place winners: Kelly Kelley and Colleen Mercer and Regina Carey and Karen Earhardt.

In 2nd place were Linda Humphrey and Karen Barnett and Mary Moran and Laura O'Connor.
