Jets Have Plenty To Think About After Week 1 Loss
New England has the pieces ready to put together another Super Bowl run even if Matt Estrella and his Patriots' video team had a hand in stealing enough signals to get them the win. The Jets aren't at that level. For the first time in Eric Mangini's brief two year coaching stint , he has some problems that he'll need to solve at Baltimore on Sunday. But first, we'll briefly get into those issues by using Richard Nixon as an example. BlowoutGate The Jets couldn't create any type of a pass-rush against Tom Brady, giving the star quarterback loads of time to complete a staggering 22 of 28 pass attempts for 297 yards and three touchdowns. The offensive line had no cohesion and New England's frontseven rampaged toward QB Chad Pennington all day. That leads to…. PenningtonGate Chad Pennington showed a lot of class giving fans a break for cheering against him as he limped off the field with a sprained right knee. For all of his injury problems, Pennington's experience will be needed against a tough Ravens' defense. For all of the fans' enthusiasm for Kellen Clemens, the second-year quarterback may not be ready to face an attacking defense that the Ravens are known for. BelliGate
If Roger "Law and Order" Goodall, has been a vocal proponent for crime and punishment towards Michael Vick and Pacman Jones, then he must do the same towards Bill Belichick for the video taping scandal. Anything less than the removal of high draft picks from the Patriots, a heavy fine and or suspension would create another black eye the NFLdoesn't want.
