John J.Quinn
Bartender

John J. Quinn, a Rockaway resident for more than 22 years, coming from Brooklyn, died September 12.

Quinn, who was born in Manhattan, worked at Reidy's in Manhattan, as a bartender. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was also a member of the Bay Ridge American Legion Post.

Quinn was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Morgan Quinn; sons, John and Thomas; and daughter, Patricia Quinn.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Quinn; daughters, Maureen Quinn and Mary Pat Baldrian; brother, Edward Quinn; and grandchildren, Richard, J.P., Michael, Ryan, Tricia, Christopher, Michael, Danny, Morgan, Tommy and Bobby.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home, with visitation to be held on Saturday, September 15 and Sunday, September 16, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. AFuneral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 17 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church in Rockaway Point. Interment will be at Long Island National Cemetery in Pinelawn, New York.
