Anna Louise Coleman
Home Health Aide

Anna Louise Coleman, a longtime Rockaway resident, died September 10.

Coleman was born in Elbert, West Virginia on April 18, 1935. She worked as a home health aide and was also a devoted member of the Church of God and Christ for many years.

Coleman was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and James Taylor; husband, Hezekiah Coleman; sons, (Isar) Jerome Taylor and Kenneth Coleman; sisters, Beatrice Freeze, Margaret Taylor and May Florence Outlaw; and brothers, Curtis Taylor, Theadis Taylor and Thomas Taylor.

She is survived by her sons, Ernest Coleman (Cheryl) and Howard Coleman (Shirly); daughters, Priscilla Coleman and Patricia Coleman, all from Queens; brother, Earvis Taylor of the Bronx; sisters, Helen Taylor and Laura Taylor of Mamaroneck, Long Island; 20 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home, with a service at Gaffney's Friendship Chapel. Interment was at Plainlawn Cemetery in Hicksville, New York.
