Helen A. Burr, a Rockaway resident for more than 20 years, died September 12.

Burr, a homemaker, was born in Manhattan.

Burr is survived by her son, Michael Burr; daughters, Judith GaNun (Joseph) and Patricia Burr-Peters (Ken); brother, Robert Whalen; sisters, Regina Trudell and Mary Tomeo; grandchildren, Paul, Deirdre and William GaNun and Benjamin and Elizabeth Peters; and great-grandchildren, Madeline and Conor.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home, with visitation to be held on Monday, September 17 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 18 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church in Rockaway Point. Interment will be at Long Island National Cemetery in Pinelawn, New York.
