for larger version       Rev. John J.Murray John J. Murray, a lifelong Rockaway resident, died September 3. Murray, a Roman Catholic Priest, was born in Manhattan. He moved to Belle Harbor at the age of 1 and remained there throughout his school years. Murray was ordained a Roman Catholic Priest in 1965 and retired from the Parochial Vicar of American Martyrs Church in Bayside. Murray is survived by cousins, Eileen Morris and Joyce McBreen; friends, Marie Fiore and Chancellor of Diocese of Brooklyn, Monsignor Anrew Vaccari.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. AFuneral Mass will be celebrated September 7, at 10 a.m. at the American Martyrs RC Church in Bayside, with visitation at Dalton Funeral Home in New Hyde Park. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Woodside.
