Correction On Last Week's Letter

The following correction was sent to The Wave in response to a letter that was published last week, but that was never meant for the pages of this paper, according to the person who wrote it. Dear Editor,

As per our conversation earlier today, regarding my tribute to the late Leslie "The LES" Cohen, unbeknownst to me, was sent to you by someone other than myself and published in your last edition of The WAVE on Aug, 31, before I got a chance to re-read it, confirm all the facts, redact and make any necessary corrections. If you could print the following apology, retraction, deletion and correction, I would be grateful. I apologize to Debbie Cohen, the widow of the late Leslie Cohen, and to her family, friends and colleagues, and also to Leslie Cohen's family and friends, if I upset them or caused them any embarrassment at all due to a misstatement I am retracting in the paragraph within the tribute which begins with the words: "But there were quite a number of nights I went to Sarge's Deli..."

In that paragraph, I retract the following misstatement and please delete the entire phrase: "for the damaged health of his X wife or X girlfriend (not sure)...

And replace with it this following correction: "for a past health incident of his wife Debbie Cohen"...

In addition, it would be respectful and greatly appreciated if you could please include that "Leslie Cohen is survived by Debbie Cohen his loving wife of the past 22 years, his mother Sophie Cohen and his sister Sandra Angeli."
