The largest RAA exhibition of the year, Artsplash weaves together a wide range of painting, photography, sculpture, installation art, watercolor, drawing, quilt, poetry, papier mâché and more, in its newly renovated sTudio 7 gallery. The indoor gallery stage and outdoor Moon Stage will also support music, dance, spoken word and improvisational performances. Artsplash runs from Saturday, September 8 to Sunday, October 7. A lively opening reception will be held on Sunday, September 9 from 1-3 p.m. Entertainment and refreshments will be provided. Many of the artists will also be on hand. Admission and all events are free, as is parking. All are invited to view this unique exhibition and encounter its creativity for themselves.
Artsplash is running concurrently with Queens Project Diversity, a firsttime exhibition event that brings together the work of hundreds of multigenre artists at over 200 venues across the borough. Meant to highlight both the lively and growing Queens art scene and the artists who live and work here, Queens Project Diversity is hosted in the Rockaways by the RAA and will bring people and art together in the more intimate sTudio 6. This exhibition will also run through October 7.
