for larger version       Edward Oliver Edward Oliver, a longtime Rockaway resident, died August 22. He was 65. Oliver, a driver for Green Bus Lines, was born in East Orange, New Jersey on November 19, 1941. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rebecca Oliver; and his sister, Bernice Moore. Oliver is survived by his wife, Renda; daughters, Antoinette, Brenda and Stacy; brothers, Rev. Ronald Oliver of Texas and Charles Oliver of Virginia; sisters Vilma Magwood of Virginia Beach and JoAnn Pitts of Georgia; sisters-in-law, Beverly Oliver and Anjupita Oliver; three brothersin law, Gerard and James Stephens and Bill Moore; son-in-law, Eric Abney; grandchildren, Shakira, Tyrell, Jashad, Jarren, Sean, Jasmin, Janiah and Shane; great-grandchild, Ayanna; good buddy, George Mickels; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home, with visitation at Gaffney's Friendship Chapel. Interment was at Forest Park Cemetery, in New Jersey.
