for larger version       Carol Eleanor Gooden Carol Eleanor Gooden, a Rockaway resident for 15 years, died August 18. She was 58. Gooden, a homemaker, was born in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies on February 24, 1949. She was preceded in death by her mother, Adorine Whittingham; and sister, Valmour Neil. Gooden is survived by her children, Cheryl Henry and Gary, Nicole and Andrew Gooden; nieces, Antoinette and Suzanne; nephews, Dave, Norman and Sean; grandchildren, Jermaine, Chantelle, Rashawn, Jason and Jacobi; grandniece, Samantha; grandnephew, Hue; and numerous friends.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home, with visitation at Gaffney's Friendship Chapel. Interment was at Trinity St. John's Church in Hewlett, Long Island.
