Response To Driveway Ticket Story
Dear Editor,

Looking at the picture on page 25 last week, I came to the conclusion that the resident definitely deserves a ticket. The car almost completely blocks the sidewalk. It obstructs the sidewalk for a person in a wheelchair or one with a baby carriage. I am sorry for the people who don't have enough parking on their properties and cannot park in the street, but many of them asked for it. Residents don't want outsiders to access the public beaches? Well, accept the fact that there won't be parking for residents, friends and family members either, including those who have the right to worship and attend services. Simple solution: the City should issue a parking permit for residents (for a fee). This will bring revenue from the residents and from those who park illegally without a permit.
