Local Vollies Take Part In Massive Manhattan Drill

On August 26, the city's Office Of Emergency Management (OEM) held a massive emergency drill at Pennsylvania Station in Manhattan. Participating in the drill were two local volunteer fire departments - The Broad Channel Volunteer Fire Department and the Rockaway Point Volunteer Fire Department. The drill started at midnight and lasted until 3:30 a.m., with units from all over the city, the New York City Police Department and the Fire Department of the City of New York participating.
