for larger version       Catherine Schirmann Catherine Schirmann, a Rockaway resident for 51 years, died August 17. She was 92. Schirmann was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. She was a member of the Christ Presbyterian Friendship Club and the Ladies Aid Society. Schirmann was preceded in death by her husband, William. She is survived by her children, William Jr., Robert and Catherine; grandchildren, Linda, Todd, Vanessa, Valora, Victoria, Paul, Brenda and William III; and great-grandchildren, Jessica, Patrick, Sara, Hannah, Amy, Justin, Jeremy, Melissa, Dominic and Cabrina.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hillebrand Funeral Homes, Inc. in Rego Park.
