Dead Body Found Inside 'Dog House'

Emergency workers were led last Friday morning to a plywood dog house in a remote and overgrown area on Beach 21 Street and Cornaga Avenue in Far Rockaway, where the body of a Hispanic male was discovered. The man, who was wearing only a pair of white athletic pants that were pulled down below his buttocks, was face down when he was found. A liter bottle of Smirnoff vodka was beside him. An apparent acquaintance of the man led police to the body and said he and others had been drinking together the night before. Here, a member of the FDNY inspects the area where the body was found.
Personnel from the Chief Medical Examiner's Office transport the body. The cause of death and a positive ID was pending at press time.
