Kids Show Off Artistic Skills At Sandcastle Contest

Children from the Rockaway area showed off their artistic talents at this year's Sandcastle Contest, held by the shore on Beach 118 Street. While the weather on July 29 might not have been ideal, many still came out to the event, sponsored by West End Realty and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, to create their own versions of the sandcastle. The following participants were the top three winners in each category:
