for larger version       Claire Trim Claire Trim, a longtime Rockaway resident, died July 26, 2007. Trim was born in Omaha, Georgia to the late Ambus Hattie Carter on November 27, 1927. She was the eldest of eight children. She attended school in Georgia and was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, where she was baptized. She met and married the late Robert Trim. They would have seven children together. Trim was preceded in death by her daughter, Dessie Pearl and sons, Willie James and Ernest Lee Trim. She is survived by her daughter Diane Moore (Walters) of North Carolina; sons Robert Trim Jr., Jerome Trim of the Bronx, and Joseph Trim (Sandy) of North Carolina; sisters, Daisy Harris (Junis) of Jamaica, Ruth Stafford (Eugene) of Detroit, Dollie Milfort (Abraham) of Detroit, grandchildren, Charisse Gee (Brent) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Robert Trim III of Ohio, Ebony and Devell Trim of the Rockaways; greatgrandchildren, Terrence D. Trim of Maryland, Dymin and B.J. Gee of Virginia Beach, Virginia; friend, Geraldine Gray; and other family members and friends.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Family Funeral Service Chapel of the Rockaways. Visitation was held at the Family Funeral Service Chapel. Services were held at Macedonia Baptist Church. Interment was at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York.
