Rose Nast

Rose Nast, a former Rockaway resident, died June 2. She was 93.

Nast was born in Rockaway Beach on June 21, 1913. She was a personnel clerk for the United States Postal Service branch in Far Rockaway. Nast retired to North Carolina in 1975 but relocated to the Bronx in 1987.

Nast was preceded in death by her husband, William; sister, Frances Goldberg; and brother, Anton Toman.

She is survived by her daughter, Rose Szkakandy (Michael); son, William (Rosalie); and grandchildren, Rose Anne Indelicato, and Brian and Kathryn Nast.

Interment was at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Hastings on Hudson, New York.
