Graybeards Family Run Draws More Than 500,Both Old And Young
The Annual Graybeards Family Run continues to grow in scope each year. This year's event, held last Friday evening at Beach 129 Street and Rockaway Beach Boulevard, brought out more than 500 runners, ranging from toddlers to senior citizens. There were runs of varying distances for the young, a one- mile run and a 5K run, as well as a run for Special Olympians. After the races, everybody got together in the playground at St. Francis de Sales Church for a barbeque dinner.
