British Soldiers See Statue,Visit Empire State Building

Members of the British Limbless Ex-Service Men's Association (BLESMA) had the opportunity to see the Statue of Liberty and take in the spectacular view from the Empire State Building's observatory during their recent visit to participate in the annual "Wounded Warriors" weekend in Rockaway. Here, "Rocky" Dorogoff (right), a Breezy Point resident and member of the Graybeards, the lead organizers of the event, stands with the BLESMA members as their tour boat passes Lady Liberty.
Dorogoff (left) and retired FDNY member Tom "Bean" McKean (third from right, back row) also took the visiting British soldiers to the Empire State Building, where they enjoyed a stunning view of the Big Apple.
