Sorrentino Little League Season Heats Up

The Sorrentino Recreational Center/ Health Plus/ PAL/ Parks and Recreation 2007 Little League season is currently underway with some exciting baseball.

The Bantam Division (9-12 year olds) standings had the New York Yankees in first place, with four wins and no losses.

The New York Mets are tied with the Cincinnati Reds, with 2-2 records and the White Sox, who have a 0-4 record, still seek their first victory of the year. In the Junior Division (13-15 year olds), the Chicago Cubs are on top, with a 4-0 record. The Oakland Athletics and Yankees are tied for second place, with two wins, one loss and a tie. The White Sox are 0-4.

The Sorrentino Little League continues on Saturday, with games starting at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

All games are played at O'Donahue Park on Beach 17 Street.
