A Night Out Against Crime Events Set For August 7

Mark your calendars for the 24th annual "National Night Out Against Crime." The 100 Precinct will host west end events from 4 to 8 p.m. at Beach Channel High School. Hot dogs, popcorn and soda will be served, while local performance troupes provide the entertainment. For the kids, there will be face painting, caricature portraits and meet-and-greet characters such as Elmo, Dora and Spiderman.

The 100 Precinct Community Council and District 23 Transit extend an invitation to law enforcement agencies, organizations and others who are involved in the community.

East end events, sponsored by The 101 Precinct, are scheduled to take place at MS 53 on Nameoke Street in Far Rockaway. At press time, there was no information on activities or the time things will get started.
