Eileen M. Lavin (nee Jones), a Rockaway resident for 29 years coming from Brooklyn, died July 17.

Lavin, a homemaker, was born in Brooklyn.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Battle.

Lavin is survived by her husband, William K. Lavin; children, Maureen A. Sawyer (Scott), Jeanine A. Zocks (Adam), Trici A. Broderick (Dave), William K. Jr., Maribeth A. Lavin, James T. and Robert V.; brother, Thomas N. Jones; and grandchildren, Brendan, Meaghan, Matthew, Joey and Maribeth.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home, with visitation to be held on Friday, July 20, 2-5 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church in Belle Harbor on Saturday, July 21 at 9:45 a.m. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York.
