Doesn't Understand Wave
Dear Editor,

I don't understand the story in the Wave about Tony Avella's resolution to include the Nativity Scene in our Public schools. I agree that the Con - stitution has a clause that demands separation between Church and State. Can you explain to me why a Menorah, Star and a Crescent can be displayed but not Nativity Scene/ - Creche?

The Constitution also states that we are all equal. So where is the equality in this situation?

A Christmas tree is not a symbol of Christmas for most Christians. Christ ians are not asking the other symbols to be taken down; they only want to be treated equally. Why are you so bothered by this?

BERNADETTE O'BRIEN

PRESIDENT LAOH DIV. 25
