In reference to many ethically questionable actions by the current administration, like recently absolving Lewis Libby of his prison sentence, many, many letter writers and talking heads have taken to simply repeating the convenient excuse "Yeah, but look what Clinton did!" You know, my mother used to say, "If one hundred people steal a bicycle, does that make it right? And does it make it right for you to steal one, too?" It seems to me that politics is the only profession in the world where no matter how long you've occupied the office you can always blame everything on the guy before you, and never have to stand up for yourself. Shameful. No matter who did it.
