Click Here for More Information Wire To Wire Boys Grammar Action Highlight St.Francis Classic The close games and nail-biters continue in the Boys Grammer-Middle Division at the St. Francis Summer Classic. The Orangemen were able to overcome an early nine point deficit to defeat BRS by one point, thanks to Ryan Sullivan's key offensive rebound and clutch put-back with only seconds remaining. Tommy Mercer had 10 points and key rebounding and scoring by Michael Buckley, Greg Charles and Sean Morgan helped to secure the win for the Orangemen. Dylan Evans was unstoppable early and ended with a game high 18 points for BRS. Walsh Properties benefited not only from the scoring and pressure defense of Patrick Goldberg and Jimmy Wolfer, they made some clutch free throws down the stretch to pull off a 3 point victory over J.G. Electrical. On the next night, Walsh Properties was unable to overcome an early deficit and lost to the Cougars. The winning team was led by Ryan Kilgallen's, who scored 16 points and Billy Collins with 6 points. J.G. Electrical was able to revenge their earlier loss in the week by defeating Mullin Basketball Camp in a close contest by one point. J.G. was led by Mark Genovese with 11 points and Conor Rayder who added 13 points. Mullin was led by a courageous effort from Kevin MaGee who scored a game-high 14 points. In a match up of teams who both y had only one loss, Rockaway Little League squeaked out a two-point victory over Kennedy's in a high scoring affair. R.L.L. was led by Matt Sosnowski with 20 points and Kennedy's top scorer was Kevin Crockett, who scored 19 points. The Boys Grammar Middle Division Standings have two teams, Rockaway Little League and Cougars, tied at the top with a 4-1 record. Kennedy's Restaurant is in sole possession of third place with a 3-2 record. Orangemen, Mullin Basketball Camp, Mullin Basketball Camp and BRS are all tied for fourth place with each team having a 2-2 record. Walsh Properties have a 3-3 record. J.G. Electrical Installations and Belle Harbor Physical Therapy each have a 2-3 record.
