Fire Forces Evacuation Of Adult Home
Dozens of adult home residents were forced out into the rain and wind on Wednesday night as a fire broke out in a room on the fourth floor of the Surfside

Manor Home for Adults at 95-02 Rockaway Beach Boulevard. A spokesperson for the Fire Department said that the first call came in at 11:50 p.m. and first units to respond were on the scene three minutes later. The room fire was extinguished by 12:14 a.m. Officials say that nobody was hurt in the fire and that it appears to be an accident.
