Information Seminar For Local Seniors
Assemblywoman Titus Presents Check For Van Service

Titus greets some of the seniors.
Assemblywoman Michele R. Titus, in collaboration with Ocean Bay Community Development Corporation (OBCDC) and the Edgemere Neighborhood Action Community Team (ENACT) sponsored a Senior Information Seminar on June 29.

The seminar provided the seniors with information about their social security benefits and other services provided to them. Among the invited guests were representatives from the Social Security Administration, Department of Aging, JASA, Rockaway Vendor Housekeeping Services, Rockaway Home Attendant Service and the Weatherization Referral and Packaging Program (W.R.A.P.).
Titus (seated, third from left) presented Ocean Bay Community Development Corporation with a check for $50,000 to purchase a van to provide free transportation around the peninsula to senior citizens and the disabled.
Over 40 senior citizens attended the seminar.
