Hamer-Campos Farmer's Market
The Hamer-Campos Farmer's Market is open for business as of June 30, 2007. The market will take place every Saturday through Thanksgiving from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the PS 42 schoolyard at 430 Beach 66 Street. This year the market is focusing on food grown locally, and as in years past, Charlie Cara begins the season as the market's biggest customer. The organizers are also holding a Hamer-Campos homeowner's vegetable garden contest with cash prizes, free workshops, gifts, and gardening resources. Come early for the best selection of produce and plants.
Local residents shop for potted plants.
One customer even traveled by bus to get to the market.
Mrs. Franklin arranges the hanging plants.
