Hadassah Heart Luncheon Honors Cohen,Murphy

The annual Hadassah Heart Luncheon was held this year at the Lawrence Country Club last Thursday. The affair was renamed this year in memory of Faye Cohen, longtime activist who chaired the event for the past 40 years and who passed away recently. Assemblywoman Audrey Pheffer was on hand to present legislative certificates to Cohen's family. Cohen's daughter speaks about her mother as organization officials look on. One of Cohen's grandsons does the blessings as organization official Marilyn Blicksilver looks on. Cohen's son, daughters and grandchildren were present at the luncheon. Local activist and horticulturalist Nadia Murphy, who was honored for beautifying Rockaway, receives her award.
