PS 42 Students Put On Musical For Resorts Residents

Students greet residents of Resorts Nursing Home with floral arrangements.
Students from Ms. Bailey's third grade class at PS/MS 42 on Beach 66 Street recently performed songs from the popular Disney movie "High School Musical" at the Resorts Nursing Home on Beach 68 Street in Arverne.

Students performed song and dance numbers as part of a community outreach effort organized with the help of the school's music director, James McAtasney. The residents enjoyed the show and the students appreciated their ice cream rewards, as well as the chance to connect with the Rockaway community.
Two students dance to songs from "High School Musical," as their fellow classmates cheer them on.
Some students from class 3-11 at PS/MS 42 perform a number for the Resorts residents.
The nursing home residents enjoyed the performances by the students, who in turn enjoyed putting on a good show and giving back to the community.
