Sorrentino Center Opens Doors To Little League Season

The Sorrentino Recreational Center/ Health Plus/Police Athletic League 2007 Little League season will have its opening day on Saturday, June 30 at 9.30 a.m. in O'Donahue Park on Beach 17 Street. Teams from the 9-12 year old division will play two games, scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. In the afternoon, the 13-15 year old division will also play two games starting at 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

The season will end on August 11 and the winners of each division will qualify for the citywide championship playoffs that begin on August 18.

The Sorrentino Little League encourages parents, friends and spectators to come out and support the young ballplayers. For more information, call the Sorrentino Center, located at 1848 Cornaga Avenue, at 718-471-4818.
