Breezy Point Par Tee Golf News
By Peg Ansbro

This author found out that all the important lessons of life are contained in the three rules for achieving a perfect golf swing:

1. Keep your head down.

2. Follow through.

3. Be born with money.

Only seventeen ladies braved the elements for the golf outing on June 14. The best scorer of the day was Nancy Heffernan with a 69. Scoring in the seventies were Joanna Beck (70), Marge O'Leary (72), Barbara Caramelli and Joan McNally 75), Pat Livingston, Dottie Dunne, Chris Brunner and Joan Fallon (76), Ann Lane, Lil Hanratty and Kay Miller (77). Marilyn Higgins, Joan Williams and Helen Mele finished with 79.

Dottie Dunne was credited with a birdie. Marilyn Higgins and Barbara Caramelli each had a chip-in score. Chip-in birdies were made by Kate Hanratty and Nancy Garito. Joanna Beck made the shot nearest to the pin on hole # 1. On hole #18, Bea Sharrock was honored as the winner. The winner of the 50/50 was Lil Hanratty.

Condolences go to Betty Weed on the sudden death of her niece and husband, Dr. Joseph and Jeanne Stavola. Donations may be made to: Hawthorne Country Day School, 5 Bradhurst Avenue Hawthorne, NY 10532 or Heartsong, Inc. 590 Central Park Avenue, Scarsdale, NY 10583.

Golfer: "Do you think I can get there with a 5 iron?" Caddy: "Eventually."

God Bless. Have a great week.
